Steve obtained his Bachelor's degree, majoring in Management, from East Central University, Ada, Okla. in 1987. Steve is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma and Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa where he currently serves on the Executive Board. He received his designation of Certified Insurance Counselor in 1997. Steve has lived in the Tulsa area since 1990 and currently lives in Broken Arrow with his wife and three children who attend Union Public Schools. He enjoys hunting and fishing and following his children's athletic activities. Along with his family, Steve attends Evergreen Baptist Church in Tulsa.

 Jeanette Budde joined Rich & Cartmill, Inc. as a sales associate in 1999, specializing in commercial insurance. She was previously a senior account representative with Liberty Mutual Group. Jeanette started her insurance career in 1986 as a commercial lines underwriter for The St. Paul Travelers Companies, and later worked as a field underwriting and marketing representative for Aetna. She brings with her a strong background in the analysis and marketing of insurance for both large and small businesses. Jeanette received her CPCU designation in 1995 and is an active member of the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters. She graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. She's a strong supporter of continuing education for insurance professionals and regularly participates in courses that keep her abreast of the ever-changing trends that can affect your business. Jeanette is a native of Virginia and enjoys traveling and many outdoor activities with her family. Her hobbies include painting and drawing. Mike Cole, vice president, became a shareholder in July 1989, after having joined Rich & Cartmill, Inc. as an associate in 1984. Prior to that he was with Employers Insurance of Wausau. He served as president and CEO of Rich & Cartmill, Inc. from 2000 to 2005. Mike's commercial business currently is focused in the areas of energy, public entities, manufacturing, contracting, non-profit entities and other commercial risks. Mike has served as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa, and is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Insurance Agents and the Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of CPCU. He attended Oklahoma State University on a track scholarship and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. He holds the designation of CPCU and CIC. Mike is a past member of the Aetna Life & Casualty and United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company agent advisory councils for the state of Oklahoma.  Kelly is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Prior to that he attended the University of Kansas on an athletic scholarship. From 1995 to 2000 Kelly was employed as a bond field underwriter with EMC Insurance Companies, based in Des Moines, Iowa and Kansas City, Mo. Kelly left EMC and joined Zurich/Fidelity and Deposit Company as a senior surety account executive. He was responsible for all underwriting and marketing of surety bonds in Oklahoma for the company. In September 2002, Kelly joined Rich & Cartmill, Inc.. as an associate partner and bond specialist. Kelly currently hopes to complete his Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) designation, and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.

Ben's work background includes experience at Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Rockwell International, and the Mid-America Pipeline Co. (MAPCO). In the community, Ben is a Past President of the Independent Agents of Greater Tulsa. He is also a Past President of the Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa. He has held most of the positions in each of the clubs. Ben is an elder of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. His volunteer work has been focused around mission work in Russia and Tanzania. Vaughn Graham, CPCU, AFSB, CIC President Vaughn Graham, President of Rich and Cartmill, joined the firm in 2003 through the merger of the insurance agency of which he was a Principal since 1989. His commercial business is focused in areas of construction insurance and bonding, construction related risks, energy, physician and medically related and other types of commercial risks. Vaughn is been a leader in the Oklahoma insurance industry serving the association of Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma as it Chairman. He has served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa and as Chairman of the Independent Insurance Young Agents Committee. Vaughn currently represents Oklahoma as a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. In the Tulsa community, he is a member of Leadership Tulsa; the Rotary Club of Tulsa and is a volunteer mentor to students of Celia Clinton Elementary School. A Tulsa native, Vaughn is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.

He later joined the national insurance brokerage firm of Marsh & McLennan, Inc. A native of Pine Bluff, Ark., Ray attended on athletic scholarships, the University of Alabama and Delta State University, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Ray is a member of First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, where he serves as an adult Sunday school class director. He is a senior active member of the Broken Arrow Rotary Club.

Cheryl first worked for New York Life in 1978, and has over 18 years experience in the insurance industry. Cheryl attended Oklahoma State University and is now pursuing the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation through the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.  Russ began his insurance career in 1985 working for New England Life in Tulsa. During the early 90's he moved to an independant agency where he began specializing in long term care facilities. In 1999, he moved his practice to Rich and Cartmill. After a brief period he was asked to join the ownership and became one of the Vice-Presidents of the agency. During the past two years, Russ has served on the management team at Rich and Cartmill and has served in various other capacities within the agency with a special focus on growth and the acquisition the the building where the agency is located. It was in 2005 that he acheived his CIC designation. He is also a member of the Independant Insurance Agents of Oklahoma. Russ is a charter member of NcHA (National Council of Healthcare Agents). This is a small group of insurance agents that also specialize in health care facilities. NcHA is recognized by most insurance companies as one of the most dynamic group of specialists in this field and collectively, these agents and their agencies represent upwards of 20% of the long term care facilities across the U.S. In the State of Oklahoma, Russ belongs to OAHCP and OKAHSA, the two organizations representing the the majority of all nursing facilities in the state. Russ is recognized by his peers and within the State of Oklahoma as one of the few insurance experts in the long term care field. Besides his business in Oklahoma, he insures facilities in Arkansas and Texas and has been personally responsible for developing insurance programs for his state. In his spare time, Russ enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing and traveling. He also enjoys being with his family which includes his wife Kay, children Jennifer, Neal and Jason and grandson Remington.

Roger has more than 37 years of professional experience in insurance sales, risk management, commercial insurance underwriting, and national accounts marketing and services. Roger graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration; Roger also holds the ARM professional designation. A long-time resident of the Tulsa area, he is a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and has been involved with local charitable organizations for many years. Roger served three years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of captain.

He has worked in the construction industry both in contracting and sales roles prior to entering the insurance business. A native Oklahoman, Mark has served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Greater Tulsa and as a member of Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Oklahoma along with many associations and has achieved the CPCU and the CIC professional designations.  Michael Roller came to Rich & Cartmill, Inc. in November of 2004. Michael has been in the insurance industry since he graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1998. Michael earned his B.A. degree in business communications while competing in the sport of wrestling for the Sooners. Soon after graduating he went to a nine month long insurance training program in Owatonna, MN. It was there that he became an insurance specialist for commercial insurance needs. During the next several years Michael won many awards with his prior insurance company as an insurance producer. Among them was a three time big-hitter award winner, two time presidents council award winner, & he earned the "top twenty-five marketing representative in the country" honors on two separate occasions. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2010.

 Scott L. Selman, CIC, joined Rich & Cartmill, Inc. as a producer in May of 2002 after graduating with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. While at the University of Oklahoma he became a Sigma Chi and President of the Interfraternity Council. Scott is a fourth generation insurance agent as his great grandfather, grandfather and uncle were also all in the business. In January 2009, Scott became the youngest shareholder of Rich & Cartmill, Inc., and in January 2010 succeeded Ross Cooper, Jr in becoming the endorsed agent for Professional Liability by the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association. Scott is married and has one child, Lydia Elaine. Scott is a member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa and serves on the board for the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa.

He also periodically instructs CPCU candidates for the local chapter�s educational program. He received his CIC designation in 1991. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, he was a three-time All-Big-Eight Conference outfielder with the OU Sooners.  Bailey Word merged his two businesses with Rich & Cartmill, Inc. in 1991, and was named as a vice president and stockholder in 1993. He was named president on January 1, 2005. Prior to the merger, he was president of Kramer-Word and Associates, Inc. in Tulsa from 1980, and Broadway Insurance Agency, Sand Springs from 1985. Bailey received his designations for CLU in 1974 and CIC in 1985. He has been president of the Tulsa Association of Life Underwriters on two occasions and president of Utica Square Kiwanis Club. Bailey was a member of the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa from 1998-2002. He also served as their president from 2001-2002. Bailey is also a past president and a current member of the board of directors for the Tulsa Country Club. He started his insurance business career in Dallas, Texas in 1962. Bailey attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. with a degree in Business Administration. He and his wife attend Boston Avenue Methodist Church.

Previously, he was with Federated Insurance Companies for 13 years as the Oklahoma District Marketing Manager and as senior marketing representative. Mark earned his CLU designation in 1991, ChFC in 1992, CPCU in 1996 and CIC in 1997. A native of Missouri, Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. and served as a Marine Corps officer on both active duty and in the reserves. He is a 1995 graduate of Leadership Norman and is a member of the Oklahoma City CPCU chapter, Independent Insurance Agents Association and the Oklahoma Petroleum Marketers Association/Oklahoma Association of Convenience Stores.  Travis Brown is a 1985 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He began his insurance career in 1988 as a bond underwriter for USF&G Insurance Company in Oklahoma City. In 1994 he was named manager of bond operations for the state of Oklahoma for USF&G. In 1996 he then joined a large national brokerage firm and has specialized in providing bonds and insurance to the construction industry since that time. Travis has been active in the insurance industry by serving on various boards and committees. These include President of the Surety Underwriters Association of OK, and serving on the Young Agents Executive Board, Independent Agents of OKC Board of Directors and the Compsource Oklahoma Agent Advisory Board. He is also active in various construction trade associations including the Association of General Contractors (AGC), Oklahoma Municipal Contractors Association (OMCA), American Subcontractors Association (ASA) and others. He also currently serves on the AGC National Surety Bonding Committee. Travis is married to Heidi and they have 2 children, Kylie and Cole, who attend Edmond Public Schools.  Jeff graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1977 with a Business Management degree. He entered the life insurance business that fall while attending graduate school at Central State University. After graduating with a Master of Business Administration degree in May 1980, Jeff worked for Liberty Mutual in the commercial sales department. Jeff left Liberty Mutual in 1985 and started his own independent agency, J. Nichols and Company, which he operated for 15 years. In January 2000, J. Nichols and Company and Rich & Cartmill, Inc. agreed to contract for services. When Rich & Cartmill, Inc. opened an office in Oklahoma City in January of 2002, Jeff agreed to bring his existing business to the new office and contract as a producer for Rich & Cartmill, Inc.. Jeff resides in Edmond with his wife Shari and children Arthur and Sarah. The family attends Life Church and enjoys many activities. |

Tom joined Rich & Cartmill in July of 2002. Prior to that he had been associated with another major independent insurance center for 13 years, dealing primarily with commercial fire and casualty. He received his CIC designation in 2001. Tom began his insurance career as a marketing rep with Hartford in Dallas, Texas in 1976. After which he spent eleven years in regional sales and management in the oil and gas industry. In 1990 he entered the independent agency system. Tom attended Fort Hays State University where he was a member of the Fort Hays Tennis squad, Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and earned a bachelor of science degree in 1970. Tom and his wife Cindy reside on a small acreage in Edmond, Oklahoma where they enjoy working outside, and being involved in local activities. They are also active in the Edmond Elks Lodge. |

His insurance career began in 2009 while working primarily with personal lines for Liberty Mutual. He quickly realized that working as an independent agent would give him the flexibility and contacts to serve his personal and commercial clients in the most efficient ways possible. He is a member of the Young Agents and the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma. Chris Webb joined Rich & Cartmill, Inc. as a sales associate in the Spring of '08. Chris' primary focus is commercial insurance. Chris came from the Liberty Mutual Group where he was a Sales Associate for the State of Oklahoma and later Sales Manager for the states of Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Chris graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Marketing and attained his degree requirements within a 3 year period. Since then Chris has established himself in Yukon, OK where he and his wife Angie are expanding their family with the expectance of their first child due the end of '08. |

 Carrel Sanders joined Rich & Cartmill as a sales associate in April 1998, specializing in commercial insurance. He is currently a shareholder and Vice President. Previously, he was with Federated Insurance Company for 12 years as a senior marketing representative. He consistently received the President’s Council and Distinguished Service awards, as well as numerous honors and recognition for his leadership in insurance sales. In addition to his background in a broad range of commercial business, he specializes in the Long Term Care Industry. He is an active member in several state senior living associations including MALA, MHCA, MANHA, and MPCA. A native of Springfield, Carrel graduated from Parkview High School and from Southwest Missouri State University, where he earned his B.S. degree in agricultural business. He has achieved Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) professional designation. He and his wife Laura have four children: Ryan, Lauren, Kyle, and Travis.
