John DeWitt joined Rich & Cartmill, Inc. as an associate in 2007. Prior to entering the insurance industry, John graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Construction Management and spent more than 10 years as a Project Manager and Estimator for a large general contractor, overseeing multi-million-dollar construction projects throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding states.
Drawing on his extensive technical, construction, and field experience, John has developed a specialty in oil & gas insurance, focusing on programs for upstream, midstream, as well as other energy related industries throughout Oklahoma, and surrounding states. He works closely with clients to design insurance solutions that address the unique operational, contractual, and risk management challenges faced by their businesses.
John is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an active member of the Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their two sons, Dylan and Mason.
