Chad has called Leawood, KS home since he and his wife moved back to the KC area in 2007.  A 1997 University of Kansas graduate, he spent 4 years working in freight & transportation, before entering the insurance industry in 2001, as an Account Executive Trainee for Universal Underwriters Group.  He joined Rich & Cartmill in 2019, after having served in a variety roles, for a variety of industries, while at UUG/Zurich, and also Liberty Mutual. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2006, and earned his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation in 2008.            

Chad specializes in providing concierge level service, to complex customers, across a variety of industries, and needs.  Frequently, the solutions involve meaningful retentions, layering, and Excess & Surplus lines.  His customers are seeking expertise, process, and efficiency, from someone they can trust. That is his specialty. 

Because of that, his work has grown to include a number of large Franchise Dealership Groups, Wholesale & Retail Distributors, and Event Venues.  He has also built a practice within his practice, providing Cyber Risk Management Solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, as simply and efficiently as possible.

When he is not at work, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife and children, whether that time is spent quietly at home, attending kids sporting events, traveling, or ideally, skiing.
